Carrie Herrera Niesen – Editor-in-Chief
After multiple jaunts abroad to study, intern, teach, and work in Spain and Latin America, Carrie felt the coming home aspect fell short of what it should be for students. As a result, she focused her master’s degree work on the experience of returning and positively coping with re-entry shock. As Editor-in-Chief of Life After Study Abroad, her goal is to assist students in translating experience abroad into tangible personal, professional, and educational goals.

Kate Neff – Writer-in-Residence
Kate is a globetrotter seeking happiness, the meaning of life, and possibly another few feathers or pebbles to add to her already excessive collection. After receiving her undergrad abroad in Switzerland and interning in Iceland, she briefly lived in NYC, swiftly fled, and recuperated by living in a tent in Patagonian Chile. Today she spends her time reading, free-lance writing, drinking maté, and studying for her Masters in Science Education.
